So I went to bed, because i had to... and yup, I wake up in the morning and check and someone's crying and someone's screaming and someone's name-calling and three people have gone quiet...

Cynic's now on moderation, and I've pointed out that logically, it would make more sense to tailor his method of speaking to his audience if he wants them to listen to him. (Ie - use some tact.)

I don't need this. I don't want to squash the thread, because it HAS been interesting and a lot of people are involved in it... but I will if it degenerates much further.

I HATE spam.

*hugs* - cheer up babes. Being a moderator can really suck sometimes. Not on our list, but I was on "the list from hell" once.

It sounds like you're doing a really good job (do you fancy another? ;)), but when it comes down from it, only the people themsleves can be responsible for how they act and feel.

Its not the list from hell - I think the last time we even had to put someone on moderation was about a year ago. You know which list it is, and they're good people. (OTOH - it might be the list from hell you're thinking of, because I know you were a member last time we had trouble.)

As for another job... I'll take that one when I'm actually 'qualified' to be a member of the group :p Not twenty yet, remember? lol.

What I've done is send out a message from the Mod Squad (we created a group address so it's more anonymous - that way none of us gets fingers pointed at us.) asking for a 24-hour hiatus on the topic, giving people time to phrase things more tactfully and cool off a bit.

Nah - it's really not. I hope you didn't think I was insulting your list :) I meant that I was moderator for an INFP list a couple of years ago that suffered a total meltdown. Very stressful for all concerned.

well then, unofficially, welcome to the list. We've been uncharacteristically quiet, actually. Seems 20 is only noisy when G. is quiet, and vise versa.

I don't think we're at total meltdown stage... but I'm pouring in new coolant. *sigh*
