Title: stretched to the point of no turning back
Author:
framlingem
Rating: PG (language)
Genre: Gen, drama.
Word Count: ~2200
Summary: "An Introduction to Practical Astronautics" is a mandatory courseset for Starfleet cadets. For McCoy, it's terrifying.
Notes: The title is from Pink Floyd's "Learning to Fly", and this is the second in that series, a companion to Gaila's a dream unthreatened by the morning light. The children's book which I've quoted from is "Moondance", by Frank Asch, and you can hear the whole thing (complete with rumbly voice) read by the author on youtube.
