Aug. 4th, 2005 11:20 pmI may have to read this together with "English Tea" from now on. Em's poem series: The Metro series, the mysterious lover series, and now the tea series. *snicker*
On Tea
(for
kyra_ojosverdes, because I want to and because you made me think of it. Even if you're probably too all over the place right now to read it. Also because I can't make you proper tea.)
Tea is comforting;
when all around are running
electrons with no nucleus
rings with no fingers and centreless,
tea is a centre;
it is a reason for one's hands
not to shake
it is something to listen to
the water at the boil
and not sobs or screams or silence;
tea is something to do
when there is nothing to do
it is a warmth when your hands
will never be warm again
and a good taste;
tea loosens the tongue
or helps it be still
companiable and unintrusive
something to talk about
mediation and meditation
