In which I am furious.
Feb. 10th, 2006 01:57 pmOne of my roommates gets the J. Crew catalogue. (I'm not mad at her!)
I always look through it to see the lovely clothes that wouldn't fit me even if I could afford them, because they do have some lovely things.

This is very pretty... but genuine coral?! That pisses me off. That's like saying "made from real old-growth Amazon rainforest" - coral is damn fragile, in a heck of a lot of trouble already, doesn't regenerate quickly, and provides a habitat for a whole load of things.
*fumes*
I mean, kee-rist. They wouldn't advertise "ooooh, real ivory", would they?
*writes a letter inquiring about the origins of J Crew's coral*
*would boycott them if not for the fact that, as previously mentioned, she can't buy from them anyway*
