I seem to have developed an addiction. Driving home from work today (booooooooooring.... pas un chat au Promenades!) I experienced a compulsion to go and rent a Johnny Depp movie, any Johnny Depp movie.

I ended up with Edward Scissorhands, which I've somehow never watched.

Well, I have now. This may be confusing, I'm tired.

I love that movie. It speaks to the child I used to be who watched. Just watched.

Tomorrow I may rent Chocolat, because I haven't seen that one either.

Johnny Depp. Mmmmm.

Awww yeah. Johnny Depp. Each time I see him in a movie, I just want to go watch his stuff.

I highly recommend Chocolat. Not only is it a fantastic film, but Johnny plays this mmmmmmm Gypsy that is just as sexy as Captain Jack Sparrow. If you haven't seen him in From Hell (but you must have) I liked that one as well. As well as Blow (where he's not as pretty the whole time, but is just a damned good actor).

Sleepy Hollow was good, and I am pretty sure he was in that one. Plus for fun factor check out Cry-baby :)

I'm sure you've heard me say this before, but Dead Man is very good. I didn't really notice him much until I saw that, after which I kind of perked up Depp-wise *ahem*

Nope, actually I don't recall you saying that. *writes it down*

I discovered Depp when I rented 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'. I LOVE that movie.

More Johnny

So, I rewatched Blow as I was recovering from trimming bushes yesterday (this homeownship thing sucks, sometimes). It happened to be just starting when I sat down.

Johnny is fantastic in this, and cuter than I recalled (although blonde hair here). And I love his Massachusetts accent. It's cute.

Also - for a real real real old Depp movie, check out Nightmare on Elm Street (the original) - it came out in, I think, 1984, which means he was just 20 when he made the film (since he probably made it in 1983).

only real johnny depp movie i've seen is What's Eating Gilbert Grape... oh and i saw Edward Scissorhands a long time ago. It's funny, everyone thought the chick in PotC was Natalie Portman... if it was, they both have the same birthday, as well as the same as Michael J Fox, Donald Duck, and me! I sound weird because I have this list of famous people that have the same birthday as me, but I've only seen a list once and I memorized it... lol

Well, I thought she looked like a genetically engineered cross of Jennifer Garner and Winona Ryder, myself :)
