I had to phone and cancel my job interview. I re-looked at the bus schedule... and I can't get there. Even if I got the job, I would have to actually move to Mount Pearl.

So much for that.

Gah, don't you hate it when that happens?? You find what would appear to be the perfect job, only to realize that the location is impossible - I wouldn't even be able to count how many times this happened to me over the summer. It's the "Ooo, great job!!... but wait, I can't get there... damn" cycle, and it happened to me a million times this summer.

But hey, at least you had an interview scheduled, which is more than I got all summer long - 60+ applications, one measly little interview, which amounted to nothing but the usual "You're very qualified, but..." response (the rest going on to say, "... but we've decided to go with a candidate better suited to our organization"). You're a desirable candidate, otherwise you wouldn't have gotten the interview, it's just a slight geographical issue that kept you away. As soon as something comes up that's closer, you'll be just fine. :)

Don't let it get to you, though, the hunt can be so frustrating. Keep your chin up, keep looking, and soon enough, you'll find exactly what you're looking for, I know it. :)

And besides, why would you want to work in Mount Pearl, anyway?? ;)

On another note, that should cheer you up. M. And I are going to be in town next weekend, and we'd like to see you if it's possible. We'll be in until about 4 sunday afternoon when we have to drive back. Let us know if it can work out.
