For some reason, the cheapest turkey in the store (in terms of total, not per kilo) was also one of the biggest, so we wound up with an eight-kilo turkey. We named it Fred.

Fred was delicious, and is still mostly whole.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Me, I'm thankful that I had food to eat and good company to share it with today.
