Aug. 20th, 2005 11:05 pmI am far too amused by Google's satellite images of places.
Especially that while Corner Brook is in true colour, high resolution, and glorious, St. John's is in false colour and you can't zoom in very far.
Seriously. I can see my windowsill in CB. In St. John's, I can't even see my street. :p (Except it isn't really my street anymore but it will always be my street)
This is presumably because in terms of natural resources, the Corner Brook area is more important than St. John's; I'd give you dollars to doughnuts that the satellite images were originally paid for by timber or mining concerns.
Good day today. M had two SCUBA dives on a wreck about sixty klicks out of Cornwall, and asked me along for the drive and to help out the divers. I didn't even get rained on!
