Which wouldn't be so bad, really, except that I know the whole damn song off by heart and it's really long.

And that's just the first verse. :D I'll have to dig up my old L.A. Filkharmonics tape, I can't remember all of the verses off the top of my head--but it is, truly, a thing of beauty!

I still sometimes lament that I got into filk only after the L.A. Filkharmonics broke up. Their one tape I know about, In Space, No One Can Hear You Sing, is chock fulla fantastic Star Wars filk. They were also especially fond of Harrison Ford in particular--they have a couple of Indiana Jones filks on there, as well as the immortal "O Solo Mio". ;)

and I'm sure you could envision a couple of them having lupinesk and Siriusesk qualities to them...

and of course they're on a ship...

and probably half dressed, probably kinda like pirates...

and have been out at sea for a very long time...

with no other companionship than each other...
