*heaves a sigh of relief*
Oct. 29th, 2004 11:37 amFinished my last modterm. (Oh look, finals are coming up! Yay!) It was a lot easier than I was expaecting it to - stuff like "Describe the three components of a GPS, and how they interrelate". No sweat. "Translate this image into run-length coding". That one was fun. THere was an aerial photograph we had to interpret, and I asked the professor about it afterwards, and I'd not only gotten it right, but I'd even figured out the right location, generally speaking. (Had to be in North America. The streets were in a grid pattern, and the only other place you get that is in old Greek cities, which are not known for their large industrial parks filled with petroleum storage buildings).
Go me.
There was a lot of stuff on cartographic conventions and how to label things - I screwed one of them up by not using a serif font to label a mountain, but aside from that I did just fine. Even left early.
(There was one moment of hilarity involving lube, but you had to be there. Yes, in a midterm. Don't ask)
