Oct. 25th, 2004 12:28 amSo. Today was utterly, completely entrancing and fascinating in terms of reading material.
My alarm went off at ten-thirty. I promptly hit the snooze, and proceeded to do so every nine minutes until shortly before one, at which time I got up, put on some clothes, and made an egg sandwich. I love egg sandwiches.
Then I did some laundry. Three loads. I am now poorer, and ran out of loonies, so the third load got hung over the shower-curtain rail to dry. Except the underwear, which got sort of spread out around my room.
Then I talked on the phone to my Mum and Dad for a bit, which was nice. Yay.
I found out what to get my cousins for Christmas and Younger Cousin's birthday (which is on Christmas, poor little guy) - Older Cousin will be receiving "Quidditch Through The Ages" as a companion to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", which I bought her for Christmas last year. Younger Cousin will be receiving something to do with trains, if I can find Brio stuff to go with the set he has already (it's iffy - Corner Brook does not have a store which specialises in toys). Apparently he is Thomas the Tank Engine mad, which seems to run in the family in terms of younger siblings. (My favourite photo of
lifelongmanic was taken shortly after her second birthday party, and shows her passed out on the couchfast asleep, clutching Thomas storybooks against her little chest. She was a very cute toddler. Lots of curly hair and big eyes.) If I can manage it, he'll get some extra track for Christmas, and a train for his birthday.
Then I made supper, which was another egg sandwich because my eggs are getting close to their expiration date so I boiled them all and my bread is likewise in a state of needing to be eaten.
Then I met Ashton at the library, and we worked on our map paper.
THen I came home, had a shower, and started writing this.
Whoohoo.
