Oct. 15th, 2004 12:08 amThird time's the charm. I have tried to post this twice now.
Stolen from...well, everyone else.
1. Name a CD you own that no one else on your friends list does:
"The Music of Sharpe", courtesy of various artists, most of whom are John Tam or Kate Rusby. If anyone owns this, it's
disc_sophist
2. Name a book you own that no one else on your friends list does:
"Orphanage", by Robert Buettner. Cheating, though, because the book hasn't been published yet. My copy is an ARC. Not cheating, I'd guess nobody has "Child of the Morning" by Pauline Gedge. It's fictional but uses a real person - Hatshepsut, who declared herself a man and Pharaoh. Way cool.
3. Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no one else on your friends list does:
Yukikaze. Which is fantastic, even if it did take me half an hour of systematically going through the all-Japanese menus in an effort to get English subtitles and not Chinese ones. I want to write fic (Jack/Rei is screaming to me), but there's no fandom for it yet. Not even a lonesome little webpage. Just the official one, which is... you guessed it... all in Japanese. I have got to learn to read that language.
4. Name a place that you have visited that no one else on your friends list has:
Xi'an. Beijing. Tianjin. Possibly Prestwick and Arran in Scotland, and Caernarfon in Wales.
Prove me wrong?

Date: 2004-10-15 07:00 am (UTC)Come to think of it, I shouldn't have put those three locations on there, because those were on family trips and sister is on my flist.
You need to go on a ferry to get to Arran :)

Date: 2004-10-15 07:07 am (UTC)Yeah, I know. To be honest we went to so many places when I was a child that I don't remember half of them. I'll be talking to my parents and they'll mention a family trip somewhere, and it's gone from my memory. Especially the ones from when I was younger.
so want to prove you wrong...
