1.Of all the bands/artists in your cd/record collection, which one do you own the most albums by?

Definitely Great Big Sea. Not because I like their music best, but it just turned out that way. I do like the music a whole lot, though.

2.What was the last song you listened to (voluntarily)?

"Living Small" by Onelinedrawing

3.What's on your record player right now?

*sigh* I _wish_ I had a record player. Last record I listened to was Yes's "Edge of the Century" LP... magic.

4.What bands do you have the most MP3s of?

Probably Great Big Sea, because I ripped all their cds onto my computer. After that, I have a whole lot of Kate Rusby stuff.

5.What song would you say sums you up?

HAHAHAHAHAaaaaa.... funny question. Used to be "Hangin' By a Thread" by Jann Arden, but now it's probably "Saved"... same artist.

6.What's your favorite local band?

I have three locals. Corner Brook? Renfield 13. St. John's? Right now, I'd say the Punters. Brothers in Stereo is also a perennial favorite. Montreal? *thinks* There's a lot of people from Montreal... are Le Vent du Nord Montrealers? If they aren't, then Sass Jordan.

7.What was the last show you attended?

Crush with Nathan Wiley opening, at the Corner Brook Arts and Culture Centre.

8.What was the greatest show you've ever been to?

Yes. I was thirteen, it was outside under the stars, it was free, and I heard Jon Anderson's unearthlly beautiful voice singing "Wondrous Stories" for the first time. Eric Lapointe and Alannah Myles opened.

9.What the shittiest band you've ever seen in concert?

Hm. That guy whose name I can't remember. He opened the acoustic showcase at the ECMAs where I saw Sons of Maxwell for the first time. He was... well... forgettable.

10.What band do you love musically but hate the members of?

I like Jimmy Rankin's music, but the man himself is a jerk.

11.What is the most musically involved you have ever been?

Meaning? Probably either that Yes concert I mentioned in question eight, or St. Patrick's Day in Montreal a couple of years ago. I danced all night.

12.What show are you looking forward to?

*sigh* I have no concert tickets waiting for me this year. There's a show November ninth at the A&CC that's going to be people singing a lot of WW2-era music, though. Dame Vera Lynn, that sort of thing. I'm really looking forward to it. Also the George Street Festival next year :) Gonna be living in Montreal, but I'll definitely be in St. John's for that. Hopefully I can find a cheap place to stay.

13.What is your favorite band shirt?

I only have one. So it's that one. Even if it is totally bootleg.

14.What musician would you like to hang out with for a day?.

Marylin Manson. I've heard interviews with the man. His music isn't really my style, but he's one of the most intelligent and eloquent speakers I've seen on Muchmusic.

15.What musician would you like to hump for a day?

Er... next question.

16.What song reminds you of someone you love?

the Carminah Buranah. Always makes me think of my dad.

Oh? Not that kind of love? Er... "Penny and Me" by Hanson, then. Also "Dreamweaver" (don't ask).

17.Sabbath or solo Ozzy?

I hate to admit it, but I've heard a lot more of solo Ozzy, mainly because that's what my Dad was into while I was growing up. Solo Ozzy.

18.Commodores or solo Lionel Richie?

See previous answer. Solo.

19.What was the greatest decade for music?

1975-1985.

20.What's the first Cd/tape you bought?

don't hurt me, I was ten years old "Unison, by Celine Dion. Yeah. Actually, come to think of it, I have one more Celine album than I do Great Big Sea albums. And yes, I do listen to them. I like her French and pre-1997 stuff best, though. She was also the first concert I saw, at the Molson Centre on her "Falling Into You" tour, as a present for my twelfth birthday.

21.How many music-related videos/dvds do you own?

ONE.

22.What is your favorite movie soundtrack?

Top Gun :)

23.What's the crappiest CD/record/etc you've ever bought?

I bought a Foo Fighters album once. I don't even remember the name. I bought it because I loved "Learn To Fly". I found the rest of it really forgettable.

24.Do you prefer vinyl or CDs?

Old stuff on vinyl, new stuff on CDs. Music should be heard on the medium it was recorded to be on. OTOH... there's some records of my Dad's that I would love to have on cd, because they've been played so often (this is mostly LPs my dad bought when he was in college... so much older than I am) that they've degraded.

25.All totalled, how much do you spend on music in a month? Probably between fifteen and sixty dollars a month. (sixty would be a concert month, fifteen a regular month.)

I really liked the Yes shows I saw too. I should've included them.

They're awesome. Dad took me to see Styx the year before. Year after that it was ZZTop. Montreal does a free concert every year on Ile-Ste-Helene, with a hip Canadian, a hip Quebecois, and a classic band.
