Feb. 5th, 2011 02:04 pmI am so, so in agreement with John Scalzi on this particular topic.
I have shovelled my car out from car-high drifts no fewer than three times in the last four days. On Thursday, I had to call my car company so that they'd come out and jump-start it (free service, hurrah), because it needs a new battery and I can't afford one right now and it's been really cold, plus the engine's not heating up in what sunshine we're getting because it's encased in ice and snow wtf.
The snow's hip-deep. Walking to class is like walking through a tunnel.
I like the snow. I do. I'd just like a bit of respite from the "toil" part of it so that I can enjoy it.
