Apr. 12th, 2009 11:40 amMy mum is visiting friends in England at the moment, and today they are going (well, probably have been at this point) to church; this makes me very happy. The religious members of my immediate family don't tend to do the ritualistic things (I imagine that that can be rough when two of four are atheists), and I know that this is something which means a lot to her.
Also, I googled the church she's going to the service at, and it's 1300 years old, and very beautiful:

It's also the place where Aethelred I is buried. Neat!
