Actual conversation from today:

Customer: Where can I get a remote door unlocker for my GMC truck?
Me: Your local GMC dealer will either have one or be able to get one for you! *smily voice*
Customer: Really? You can get these at a GMC dealer?
Me: Yes. Any part or accessory for your Acadia, that's the best place to go. Would you like me to find you one?
Customer: No! That's okay, there's one just down the road.

Easy as anything, but honestly, does it not occur to people that when you want an object to replace one you already have, the best place to go to is the place that sold you that object in the first place?

I want a part for my truck! I'll go to the grocery store.

Common sense, folks. Common sense. She was really nice and happy, though, so that's good :) I hope her new key fob doesn't cost her too much.

(We're incredibly busy right now for some reason; enough so that the simple calls like that are spilling over into my centre, which usually deals with more complex issues.)

This is an interesting workweek. I've got Wednesday off, you see (hurrah for working to an American schedule 0_o), and because I'm working the Saturday, I also have Thursday off.

So I'm working two days, two days off, working two days, and a day off.

Not that I mind. It's just going to be a bit odd tomorrow, when customers ask me when they can expect a call and I say, "Friday". To which they'll say "what?! It's only Tuesday now!"

I must remember to point out "business days" when I tell them I'll need to take a couple of days to research something.
