For those of you who've asked, no, I am not doing NaNo this year. (I've never done it before! ;p)

It's a fact that I write at the speed of a zooming glacier, and 50k is really daunting. I'm starting small.

I am going to finish a draft of 'Tech Support, or, How That Guy On The Phone Saved Humanity'. (I was totally going to do a serious warning-of-apocalypse type of story, but then I realised that the premise, as well as the words 'tech support guy', is inherently funny. So a parody of all the 'humanity is uploading to computers!' it is.)

A coworker lent me a copy of FF7 for the PC. It is aggravating me - right now I am at a place where I know exactly what I need to do, but I can't do it. I need to get my guy to jump from the bit of broken wood onto the broken train rail, now that I have moved the propellor out of the way, but he insists on climbing up and down the ladder instead and won't jump, no matter how much I button mash. (I tried methodically pressing the action button. No dice. I even checked a walkthrough, and it says 'move the propellor out of the way, climb up, and press the action button.')

Up and down and up and down and up and down.
