The hockey game last night was good. We took The Americans (TM), Jess and Ariana from Wisconsin and Tamar from Washington, who had never seen a hockey game before. (Yes, I know you get hockey in the States - even if it is of inferior quality and all your good players come from somewhere else <-----joking).

They liked it, which was neat, and we got someone to take some pictures with Ariana's digicam, so you may get to see a picture of some of my floormates :D

AND! The goaltending was superb, especially the visiting goalie who had a lot to contend with during the first period - it was like the ice was tilted. The Corner Brook Royals were up 3-1 at the end of the first, and wound up winning 6-4 (the last goal was an empty netter as the Deer Lake Redwings pulled their goalie).

Good game :) (And fights! Whoo!)

Weird.

It's strange how even when you haven't thought of someone in years, news of them can affect you greatly. I found out today that a teacher at my high school, Mr. Scziegyl, died. He wasn't my teacher ever, and I was glad about that, because as a teacher he was lacking in some areas, but I spoke to him a couple of times and he seemed nice. I can't remember what we talked about, but I seem to remember something about him liking Beethoven.

Makes me wonder what kind of man he really was. I don't know anything about him - was he married? Did he have children? Are there people crying their eyes out right now from loss?

I hope so. Nobody should die unmourned.
