Cus, you know, building shelves from a kit SO makes me a master carpenter. I went to Zellers (Canadian Wal-mart eqivalent) and bought myself a pretty little bookcase-in-a-box, assured by my friend that 'Oh, I have this kind, it comes with one of those key things so you can screw the screws in' - and wound up roaming residence begging for a screwdriver. Found one, and it only took me an hour to put the thing together. I put it upsidedown because that way I have an extra shelf - I really don't see why things on the bottom shelf need to be three inches off the ground anyway.
But yeah. I have shelves now. Which is nice. Next stop, cool collapsable laundy basket thing like Patti-across-the-Hall has. (PATH is very cool, and the closest thing I have to a best friend here.) Go me.
Also, my Great Big DVD arrived. THis would be really cool if I had a DVD player, but alas, I don't. So Nicki, could you please find out if the parental units would consider letting me buy R2-D2 off of them?
I posted 'Embers' on fanfiction.net (which I know is the gutter of fanfiction, in which one finds lucky pennies among rivers of offal, but I like reviews, even if they do consist of 'OMG!!!! That was so kewl!!!'), and three people have now mentioned that they've never seen anyone describe a Padfoot-less Moony the way I have. :p I'm original! YAY!
So... going to see "South Pacific" tomorrow, and then "Peer Gynt" on Friday. Sweet!
