Okay, it took me a few days to decide this... but after I get back from England, I'm going on a road trip to Oshawa (not to be confused with Ottawa) to meet the rest of the Sewer Rats (if you don't know... don't ask. Classified!), so we can sail the orange boat into utter joyfulness. :)
Actually, we're going to a Great Big Sea concert. I'm going to see Ariel, Jason and Lynda again, meet a whole bunch of other Rats (I'm a Junior Rat... and the only one not technically legal in Ontario!), and, most importantly, get lifted up to that same wonderful place I reached last concert. I don't need alcohol, anyway - I can get drunk off of the music and people. And with a bit of luck, there'll be orangeness. And non-paisleyness.
Whee!
It'll mean a five-hour drive all by my lonesome, but it isn't like I don't have cds to listen to. And a sense of direction like Ryouga's from Ranma. I'll write out instructions in big letters on a sheet of paper and tape it to the dash. And have water bottles and food with me, so if I do get lost, I'll survive until I reach civilisation. (Which means bypassing Toronto completely if I overshoot Oshawa. Toronto is NOT civilised.)
The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that I'm allergic to Ontario, getting worse as i get closer to Toronto. I'm not kidding. I lived in Oakville for a year and a half and sneezed the whole time. I lost my voice breathing my hypo-allergenic Montreal air... it's going to be worse. And this time I don't have a week to recover before work... I work the day after the day after.
Lol! Maybe I'll get to the right pub after the show this time.
Lynda needs to get me a ticket... all bow down before the mighty credit-card holder...
