framlingemI missed the premiere of "Century City" on Space last week because I was out camping, but I caught tonight's episode.
Putting aside the 'weird, Ioan Gruffudd speaking with an American accent - wonder why?' thing... the show had two plotlines, one serious, one not so much (well, it was serious, but it had definite funny moments). The serious one? Had it been a short story rather than a television script, I don't think it would have been out of place in Analog. It might not have gotten published due to the sensitive nature of rape (then again, it might have - Stan Schmidt tends to pick items which are appropriate for the time of publishing), but the idea of it... very insightful, chilling, and thought-inspiring.
I liked it.
