Aug. 10th, 2009 11:57 pmBack from Worldcon. Happy. Content. Met nice man and chatted with him for two hours. Met another nice man, chatted for a different two hours, then hung out with him for two days and went to dinner today. Scalzi v. awesome. grrm does indeed have one of the best beards in fantasy. kylecassidy hopefully didn't think I was stalking him. Peter Watts looks just like a hard science fiction writer SHOULD look, and was brilliant. I spoke coherent sentences to Larry Niven. Melinda Snodgrass may very well have caused me brain damage as I held my breath for twenty minutes while she read a scene from one of her books. Brenda Cooper GAVE me a book for asking an intelligent question after she read from it (namely, "THEN WHAT HAPPENED?!"). Wrote a sci-fi limerick which I was told had to include NASCAR; wrote a sonnet in ten minutes.
