Re: 2004 Mazda 3.
Jul. 9th, 2008 09:30 pmOh. Oh.
My half-hour test drive? Took an hour. I was going 100kph on the highway, in third, and it didn't even whine. What a fun car.
Expensive parts bedamned, I bought the warranty. And if I break it, which is the way the warranty wouldn't cover it, then it's my own damn fault anyway.
I'm in love with this car. LOVE. I have an appointment next Wednesday morning to finish up the rust-proofing.
It dances. It really does. It has a turning circle so tight I was afraid I was going to run into my own trunk. When I turn it on, there's an LED on the radio which says "Hello!" - the car is glad to see me! Stereo controls on the steering wheel. Absolutely massive trunk. Firm suspension, but not too firm. And oh, what a sweet little engine.
I wish it wasn't silver, but in the grand automotive scheme of things, for that engine, and that transmission, and that absolute glorious sense of controlled deadliness, I can live with silver. I'll just have to put a novelty happy fave or something on the antenna so that I can find it in a carpark.
