Jan. 5th, 2006 01:06 amI had a movie marathon day with my best Quebec friends today - spent all day at the cinema. We saw Memoirs of a Geisha (excellent and if it doesn't get nominated for several Oscars there will be a letter sayinng "dear Academy. What the hell. Em."), King Kong (likewise, but in different categories, most notably cinematography and whichever category the miniatures would fall under), and The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (equally high quality with an added degree of creepiness because the little girl playing Lucy could have been my daughter. Seriously. I have a picture of me as a little girl to which she is identical.)
So - I highly recommend all three films. I can't really compare them, because they're apples, oranges, and pears, but they all pass the Em test.
