The Brothers Grimm

Just got back from watching Gilliam's latest; thought I was going yesterday, but wound up going tonight instead.

HOLY COW. Very, very Gilliam, which is to say, rich and detailed and engaging, magical without being condescending or childish, and absolutely beautiful to see. Work of art. At one point, I'm not sure when, I wound up biting my knuckles so hard I had toothmarks afterwards. Presumably it hurt, but I was so caught up I didn't notice.

I highly recommend it.

'Cus, you know, right now, I've got nothing. Might as well head down to the Jacques Cartier Bridge and off myself.

Honestly.

Dear mum; I am not the daughter most likely to make you a grandmother. I have plenty of reasons to want to live a long life which don't require passing on my faulty genetic code. Seriously.
