http://www.pagebypagebooks.com/ is my new love. Look! Books! Lots of them! And there's a sequel to the Princess and the Goblin! WHEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Discovered this while searching for the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which, I must say, was somewhat less exciting than the film. 21 pages, 19 of which are character development to set up the story.

Hm.

But they have Tom Sawyer, which I've never read, and lots of Dickens, and much Wells, and and and and and *goes into ferret-sparkly-shiny-shock*

My plates

My sister arrived home from her Bible-camp-where-they-let-them-shoot-guns (Apparently N. is very good with a rifle.)-albeit-at-paper-targets-which-is-somewhat-okay today. While there, she grew another half-inch, which makes her taller than me. I am Not Impressed.

However, she and Mum stopped by Giant Tiger (*hearts* Giant Tiger) on the way home... and bought me plates. And mugs. And matching bowls. Four place settings, for sixteen dollars Canadian.

And oh! They're beautiful. It's glassware, and it's black and midnight blue and gold, and I love it to bits (hope that isn't prophetic). It's so much more me than the stuff I was originally supposed to take, which is Royal Doulton and was a wedding present to my parents. It's... very good quality, but it's also very brown and grey and stuffy, and I'm simply not a Royal Doulton type of person. This stuff reminds me of the Tiffany bowl my grandmother has, in the Fairy pattern - all dark and bright and glowy at the same time. It'll be like eating off of jewels.

Cutlery's boring, but I love my plates.
