I am bone-weary. My body is simply not used to skiing hard for three days in a row. The weekend, and then class today, just took it out of me.
It's such a good ache, though. I love being physically tired rather than mentally tired. Makes bed feel so good.
So I had my ski class today. Prof KN, the professor (and also the man who taught the instructor's class) went through his standard spiel of what the day's class will entail, and slipped in, quiet like, 'Congratulations to Emily, one of Newfoundland's newest tele instructors.' Everyone clapped, and I turned even redder (I'm already red - got windburned badly, so I'm striped red with white where my sunglasses and tuque covered me. I look ridiculous!) and grinned like crazy. It felt good.
During the second half of the course, prof KN asked me to teach the basic group while the TA took the intermediates and he took the advanced group. He can do that legally now - as a member of CANSI, I'm insured! I would have kind of liked to go with the advanced group and get some instruction myself, but teaching was cool. One of my students (MY students! Eeee!) improved a lot - her stance went from stiff and cramped to relatively relaxed, low, and well-balanced, which helps a lot. Go T!
I love this. That being said... I'm really glad I don't have to put on ski boots tomorrow :p My feet are all sore and cramping.
Geography exam tomorrow - wish me luck!
