Got a phone call about a job!

They got as far as "and you haven't worked for us before, is that correct?"
"Actually, I worked for you in 2004, found it to be a good fit, and would like to come back."
"Oh. Why did you leave?"
"I moved across the island. The commute was a bit much. I'm back in town now."
"Oh. I'm, uh, going to have to check your file and get back to you."
"I understand! I look forward to hearing from you again."

... did they not actually have my CV with them, where it says "Summer 2004 - CSR with YOUR COMPANY AND LOCATION"? The mind boggles.

(the good part: I got to see the 'leaving letter' that was in my file, and it said "I would hire Ms. F------ again." Furthermore, I gave notice before leaving, which was a well-behaved-employee sort of thing to do. My odds are good.)
