YAWP!

(Oh, and yes, yawp is a word. So there.)

Gail had guests over last night.

Which would have been fine.

Except they talk in shouts, and don't know how to close doors quietly (did their mothers and fathers never say "Now go out and come in again. Properly, this time), and one of them thought it would be a good idea to chug a two-liter bottle of soda and was throwing up (in the toilet I just cleaned, I might add!) until three o'clock.

They went to sleep at around four.

And them one of them thought my soda belonged to Gail and drank two cans.

But hah! sez I, for I got up at seven and got my passive-aggressive revenge by taking a VERY LOUD shower.

So there.

It's from "Dead Poets' Society."

I only know that because I had a friend in college who was obsessed with that movie (and "Princess Bride," because, apparently that is a requirement before they will let you be female).

Well, actually it's from a poem, which in turn borrowed it from Old English :p But yeah, that's where I heard it first.

I love that movie.

"The Princess Bride"'s okay, but I like the book better.

"I sound my barbaric YAWP o're the tops of the world"
...I think that's right. Walt Whitman I'm pretty sure too.

Way to go passive-agressive Emily!!!
