I feel clever.

Today has been a productive day. I actually managed to sleep in (usually I wake up anyway), for starters. Granted, most people wouldn't consider that particularly productive, but I think so.

And then came the hard part. You have to understand I'm rather short and squat. They don't make trousers for short, squat people. They're all too long, and I was tired of stepping on the bottom of my pants and tearing them. I can sew quite well, but I never really got the hand of hemming. So today, I learned to hem. It took me an hour and forty minutes (per leg!), but my corduroys now fit and look good.

Then I drove down to the bank and got my banking done (and I'm as poor as I thought I was... damn), came home, and read the paper.

Then I read it again. It still says the same thing. Guzzo is showing The Two Towers at a minute past midnight. Wonder if they still have tickets?

Drive down to Brossard, run in... yup, they do. Snag two - one for me, one for Mariko.

Come home and wonder about that last one. Am I really cool, or really geeky? I don't really care - I'm happy as a clam (which is a really weird saying now that I think of it. How on Earth do clams express emotion? They're little quivering blobs of muscle. Do clams grieve? Do they have feelings?).

So I have spiffy cords, an up-to-date bankbook, and tickets to the coolest movie I can imagine :) Harry Potter was good... but this is EPIC.

And I'm going to Britain in... two weeks exactly.

And the Sparks have their Christmas concert tomorrow, and I got my buddy from the North Pole to come bearing gifts.

Oh, life is good.
