Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

It's snowing outside my window, so thick and fast I can hardly see the other side of the street. I love it when it snows. The rest of the world seems muffled somehow, as if it doesn't quite exist in the same world - like looking at something through a lace curtain, but the pattern of lace keeps changing. Beautiful, beautiful chaos.

Normally I'd just sit and listen to the sound the snow doesn't make when it falls, but I've got such a brilliant cd in the player I don't want it to stop. (And it's autographed! Whee!). Crush is an amazing band. The lyrics, for the most part (except for one song, but then they're appropriate to the song type) are poetry...
'Driving by your house again,
I see you let the flowers die
(That isn't like you)
I guess I'll just believe it then
Wilted roses never lie
So it has to be true.'

The way it's sung is so aching.

And the drummer's brilliant. I can't listen to the cd without seeing him in my mind's eye, with that black cowboy hat, sunglasses, and incredible grin. It's a beautiful grin - content and surprised 'man, I'm in a CONCERT' - you see it and know that this is exactly what he wants to do. I told him about it and he said he was actually laughing at the way the guitar players shake their butts! lol :)

One of the singers used to sing gospel.. his voice is bloody amazing.

Oh, life is good.
